Who We Are
New Era Energy is an Indigenous-led Australian energy venture focused on building the foundations for future fuels.
We are developing what is intended to become the world’s first Indigenous-led SAF and RD platform, working across feedstocks, land partnerships, project development and fuel pathways to enable credible and durable SAF and RD projects in Australia.
Our work focuses on aligning feedstocks, land partnerships, project sites, Indigenous governance and market requirements before capital deployment; ensuring future fuel projects are built on strong technical, commercial and social foundations.
New Era Energy operates at the intersection of energy security, aviation decarbonisation, Indigenous leadership and responsible land stewardship.
Why we Exist
Aviation and heavy transport will rely on liquid fuels for decades to come.
At the same time, Australia remains heavily reliant on imported fuels and currently has no domestic production of sustainable aviation fuel.
Developing future fuels therefore presents a national opportunity to strengthen energy security, regional economic participation and fuel sovereignty, while supporting the transition to lower-carbon transport fuels.
New Era Energy exists to help enable this transition through disciplined, evidence-led development, aligning feedstocks, land partnerships, policy frameworks and market realities from the outset.

Our Approach
New Era Energy follows a staged development approach, beginning with the critical elements that enable projects to succeed over decades.

We work with landholders, Indigenous organisations, researchers, and regional stakeholders to understand feedstock availability, quality, logistics, and governance requirements on a place-based basis.

This includes building bankable data, contracting logic, and consent frameworks that can support future projects.

We collaborate with leading research institutions and government partners to validate assumptions, assess pathways, and reduce early-stage risk.

Once foundations are in place, New Era Energy supports the development of future fuel projects through early-stage planning, ecosystem coordination, and investment readiness work.
